** Shares of Bansal Wire Industries BANW.NS fall as much as 8.89% before trimming some losses, and are last down 3.3% at 322.35 rupees
** Steel wires maker posts a 48% Y/Y drop in net profit to 204.6 million rupees ($2.1 million), weighed down by a 26% jump in material costs
** Trading volume is 1.04 million shares as of 2:02 p.m. IST, 5.2 times the 30-day average, on course for the most active session since September 2024
** BANW shares are up 4.42% in 2026 so far
