Gold miners advance as bullion back in positive territory

** U.S.-listed shares of gold miners gain premarket, tracking a rise in bullion prices GOL/
** Spot gold XAU= up 0.1% at $4,053.78/ounce, after dropping about 0.6% earlier in the session 
** Prices recover as oil retreats, with investors watching Middle East developments for signals on energy inflation and U.S. rate outlook
** Top miners: Newmont NEM.N and Barrick Mining B.N up 1.2% and 0.5%, respectively
** South African miners: AngloGold Ashanti AU.N up 1.3%, Gold Fields GFI.N gains 1.4% and Harmony Gold HMY.N rises 2.2%
** Canadian miners: Agnico Eagle Mines AEM.N gains 0.8% and Kinross Gold KGC.N up ~1%
