EU approves BASF's coatings deal with Carlyle
EU approves BASF's coatings deal with Carlyle June 2 (Reuters) - The European Commission on Tuesday said it had approved the sale by BASF BASFn.DE of a majority stake in its coatings business to private equity firm Carlyle CG.O.
The Commission said the approval was conditional upon full compliance with the commitments offered by Carlyle, which entails divesting the worldwide polysulfides business of Nouryon to a suitable purchaser.
