Australia's Beacon Lighting falls on subdued HY result

** Shares of Beacon Lighting Group  BLX.AX  fall 3.5% to
A$3.28
    ** Stock fell as much as 8.8% to A$3.1 in early trade, its
largest intraday pct loss since late March 2024
    ** Home lighting retailer posts NPAT of A$17.6 mln ($11.19
mln) for 1H25, down from A$18 mln logged last year
    ** Says operating expenses increased by ~5% in line with
opening of new stores
    ** Citi says 1H25 result in line with consensus, expects
short-term profit taking
    ** More than 98,000 shares change hands vs 30-day avg volume
of around 60,000 shares
    ** Stock up 7.5% YTD, including current session's moves
