Overstock.com rises as US judge approves Bed Bath & Beyond asset purchase

** Online retailer Overstock.com's shares  OSTK.O  rise 5.1%
to $25.29 before the bell
    ** U.S. bankruptcy judge, in post market hours on Tuesday,
approved co's $21.5 mln purchase of troubled retailer Bed Bath &
Beyond's brand name, intellectual property and ecommerce
platform
    ** Bed Bath & Beyond stores and inventory are not part of
the deal
    ** Co had won the auction for a portion of the assets of
Bed, Bath & Beyond earlier this month
    ** Up to Tuesday's close, stock had risen ~24% this year
