** Gold falls as investors moved away from the safe-haven asset following the announcement of a temporary deal between the United States and China to reduce tariffs GOL/

** Bellevue Gold BGL.AX and Evolution Mining EVN.AX shed 6.8% and 6.2%, respectively; among top 10 percent losers on the local benchmark .AXJO

** Northern Star Resources NST.AX falls 5.7%

** YTD, AXGD gains 32.6%
