China's state iron ore buyer allows purchases of banned BHP portside cargoes, sources say
BEIJING, April 28 (Reuters) - China's state iron ore buyer told some domestic steelmakers on Tuesday that they could buy cargoes from BHP that had been piling up at ports due to an earlier ban freezing their trading, four sources with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. This came after the world's third-largest iron ore supplier BHP Group BHP.AX said last week that it had concluded a contract negotiation with China Mineral Resources Group, ending a months-long dispute.
