** Canada's Weston family holding company said on Wednesday it agreed to buy UK pharmacy chain Boots from Sycamore Partners and the Pessina family for $8.9 billion, including debt.

** Slovak state firm JAVYS and Czech utility CEZ CEZP.PR signed an agreement for the purchase of CEZ's 49% stake in Slovak nuclear energy company JESS.

** Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom took full control of logistics group Delo in a deal announced on Wednesday, saying it plans to create the country's largest network of rail, road and port terminals.
