Bilfinger heads for record one-day drop after cutting sales outlook
Bilfinger heads for record one-day drop after cutting sales outlook Sept 17 (Reuters) - Shares in Bilfinger GBFG.DE plunged 24% on Thursday after the German industrial services group cut its 2026 sales outlook the night before, citing geopolitical uncertainty and weaker-than-expected business performance in the second half of the year.
Including Thursday's decline, the stock has lost about 46% this year. It was on track for its worst trading day on record if the losses hold.
Deutsche Bank analysts said the profit warning was "material", adding that the second-half recovery assumed in the previous guidance had failed to materialise.
In August, the company had lowered its 2026 margin expectations following second-quarter results.
