STOXX EXTENDS BOUNCE FROM 3-MONTH LOWS
Europe's STOXX 600 .STOXX joined a modest global equity rally on Thursday after the Federal Reserve's first rate hike since 2023 helped steady bond markets, while oil prices fell on easing supply concerns.
The index rose 0.4% in a second day of gains after hitting 3-month lows, with travel .SXTP, tech .SX8P and auto .SXAP stocks leading advances. Chemicals .SX4P lagged, down 0.4%.
Among top fallers, industrial group Bilfinger GBFG.DE fell 21% after cutting its outlook, while Raiffeisen RBIV.VI fell 8% after Grizzly disclosed a short position and alleged the lender's involvement in sanctions-restricted Russian trade.
About 65% of STOXX 600 constituents traded higher.
London's FTSE .FTSE rose 0.4% in line with broader European markets, ahead of the Bank of England's policy announcement later in the day.
