NATO to purchase up to 10 Saab GlobalEye aircraft to replace AWACS, Rutte says ANKARA, July 7 (Reuters) - NATO will purchase up to 10 Saab SAABb.ST GlobalEye surveillance planes to replace its ageing fleet of AWACS early warning aircraft, Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Tuesday, choosing a Swedish competitor over an alternative offered by U.S. planemaker Boeing BA.N.
