Discovery of largest anomaly to date on Thorny River

 

Botswana Diamonds, the London AIM and BSE listed diamond explorer, is pleased
to announce the results of its ground geophysics survey on its Thorny River
property ("the Property") in South Africa.

Highlights

·    Discovery of the largest anomaly to date on Thorny River consistent
with a kimberlite pipe of 25m in diameter.

·    Drilling planned for July - August 2022.

 

Chairman, John Teeling commented: "The discovery of our largest anomaly to
date is an important development for Thorny River as this could add
significant additional kimberlite tonnage to the developing mine plan".

Detail

As a result of a thorough assessment of historical data, five targets were
selected for detailed ground geophysics using gravity and electrical
resistivity tomography ('ERT') and reviewed by independent consultant,
GeoFocus (Pty) Ltd of South Africa All targets produced results consistent
with kimberlite with three of the targets being within 200m of the River
Blow.  The largest target is a circular anomaly consistent with a kimberlite
pipe of up to 25m in diameter.  This is the largest anomaly encountered
during the Company's work on the property to date.  A detailed drilling
programme is planned for the South African dry season which is July - August
2022.

Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Institute of
