    ** After market close on Monday, BHF reported Q4 adjusted
earnings of $2.73/shr vs analysts' expectation of $3.69/shr -

    ** Q4 annuity sales dipped 14.7% to $2.74 bln compared to
last year, hurt by lower fixed deferred annuity sales
    ** Q4 life insurance sales jumped 31.8% to $29 mln from a
year earlier
    ** Q4 net investment income came in at $1.21 bln, up from
$1.05 bln a year earlier
    ** Stock fell 24.3% in 2023
