** Shares of Bubalus Resources BUS.AX rise 10.5% to A$0.210, their highest levels since November 15, 2023

** The mineral explorer announced the proposed acquisition of a portfolio of exploration licenses in the Stawell Zone of the Victorian gold fields

** Says primary licence granted for Avon Plains Historic gold mine, which reported high-grade gold production in the late 1800s and early 1900s

** About 249,172 shares change hands, 2.7x the 30-day average of 92,328

** Stock up 53.9% YTD, including current session's moves
