June 23 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index opened 0.6% lower on Tuesday.
* BUNZL: British business supplies distributor Bunzl BNZL.L upgraded its annual revenue growth outlook after a strong first half, supported by robust demand in its biggest market, North America, and some price hikes.
* UNITE GROUP: Unite Group's UTG.L largest shareholder and activist investor, CPP Investment Board (CPPIB), has reduced its stake to 7% from 14.08%.* PLUS500: Plus500 PLUSP.L launched five-day, round-the-clock trading on some stocks and exchange‑traded funds, including SpaceX SPCX.O.
* RIO TINTO: BHP BHP.AX and Rio Tinto RIO.AX, RIO.L said they are testing Caterpillar's CAT.N battery-electric haul trucks at BHP's Jimblebar iron ore mine in Western Australia.
* BP: Gas station operators including BP BP.L, Circle K ATD.TO, Marathon Petroleum MPC.N, 7-Eleven 3382.T, Walmart WMT.O, and Albertsons ACI.N were sued by California drivers who accused them of using AI to boost prices at the pump.
* EASYJET: EasyJet EZJ.L and its investors are holding out for at least £600 million more from U.S. suitor Castlelake, the Financial Times reported, citing shareholders and people with knowledge of the talks.
* ELECTRICITY: Britain will have enough electricity supply this winter despite disruptions to energy flows caused by the Iran war, the National Energy System Operator (NESO) said.
* TICKET SALES: Britain's competition regulator fined ticket resale platform StubHub UK £900,000 ($1.19 million) and ordered it to refund more than 50,000 customers for illegally hiding mandatory fees from fans buying tickets for gigs and sports events.* SOCIAL MEDIA: Britain is considering forcing social media companies to prioritise trusted news sources as part of its broader push to tighten regulation of the sector.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices fell more than 1%, copper fell and gold prices fell over 1%.
