China flags BYD, other automakers in compliance inspection discrepancies
China flags BYD, other automakers in compliance inspection discrepancies BEIJING, Aug 28 (Reuters) - China's industry ministry on Friday named several automakers including BYD002594.SZ, 1211.HK, after inspections found discrepancies between some vehicles and their registered specifications.
In BYD's case, a plug-in hybrid model's fuel consumption in charge-sustaining mode exceeded the figure submitted to regulators, the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said it had ordered corrective actions and imposed administrative penalties on affected companies, without elaborating.
