Telia shares slide after CEO decides to leave the company

** Shares in Telia TELIA.ST drop 5% after the Swedish
telecom operator President and CEO Allison Kirkby decided to
leave her position to become Chief Executive of UK's BT Group
Plc BT.L
** "Telia Company's Board of Directors has received Kirkby's
resignation and will immediately initiate a search process for a
new CEO", the company says
** Kirkby will remain in her role at Telia until January 31,
2024 at latest, when she will replace Philip Jansen as BT's new
CEO
** Share is on track for its worst day since October 2022
and among worst performers on STOXX 600 .STOXX
