    Wall Street slipped on Tuesday, following mixed earnings from United Parcel
Service and General Motors, as well as resilient labor market data that dampened
expectations for an early start to rate cuts.  .N 
    
    At 10:36 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.15% at
38,274.27. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.10% at 4,922.85 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.27% at 15,585.688.
