Wall Street's main indexes advanced on Tuesday as growth and chip shares gained,
while stocks like General Motors and Spotify rose on upbeat earnings updates
ahead of quarterly reports from big technology companies. .N
At 13:42 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.77% at
38,535.1. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.22% at 5,071.56 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 1.57% at 15,693.75.
