- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.25%.

* CANAL+: Canal+ CAN.L said it has signed a five-year agreement to invest €980 million in French and European cinema starting in 2028, its largest ever commitment to the industry it clashed with just weeks ago.

* RETAIL PRICES: Average prices at British retailers rose by an annual 0.9% this month, the smallest increase since December 2025, as the men's soccer world cup triggered supermarket discounts on alcohol and snacks, the British Retail Consortium said.

* OIL: Oil prices extended declines, down by over $1 per barrel amid hopes for a resolution in the U.S.-Iran war which significantly disrupted global energy flows.

* GOLD: Gold prices fell, pressured by a stronger dollar, while markets looked to the Federal Reserve's upcoming policy decision for clues on the interest rate outlook.

* METALS: Copper prices edged lower, weighed by lingering bets of a U.S. interest rate hike that threatened to dampen demand, even as crude oil prices declined with investors assessing a pause in U.S. strikes on Iran.

* FTSE: London's FTSE 100 edged higher on Monday as a pause in U.S.-Iran hostilities over the weekend sent oil prices lower and boosted risk sentiment globally, while a decline in energy stocks capped gains.
