- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE up 0.11% in early trading on Tuesday.

* UNILEVER: Unilever ULVR.L beat second-quarter sales growth estimates, helped by higher prices.

* MAN GROUP: Man Group EMG.L posted an 11% rise to a record $253.6 billion assets under management as of June 30.

* BARCLAYS: Barclays BARC.L reported a first-half profit rise of 17%, beating analysts' forecasts.

* CANAL+: Canal+ CAN.L reported a slight rise in its half-year revenue, as growth in its legacy businesses balanced a narrowing decline at MultiChoice. A day earlier, it signed a five-year agreement to invest €980 million in French and European cinema starting in 2028.

* CRODA: Croda International CRDA.L beat first-half profit expectations, as price hikes offset input cost inflation linked to the Iran war.

* UNITE: Unite Group UTG.L posted an 8% dip in first-half adjusted earnings, hurt in part by acquisition-related costs.

* FRASERS: Frasers FRAS.L said its takeover offer for German fashion house Hugo Boss BOSSn.DE had become unconditional after winning the European Union's clearance.

* BT: Ofcom proposed blocking a new commercial offer from BT's BT.L wholesale network arm Openreach to protect competition and keep prices low.

* RETAIL PRICES: Average prices at British retailers rose by an annual 0.9% this month, the smallest increase since December 2025, as the men's soccer world cup triggered supermarket discounts on alcohol and snacks, the British Retail Consortium said.

* COMMODITIES: Oil prices extended declines, gold prices fell, while copper prices edged lower, weighed by lingering bets of a U.S. interest rate hike.
