May 27 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq were muted on Wednesday in choppy trading, as investors remained cautious while awaiting progress in Middle East talks.  .N
     
At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.37% at 50,647.94.The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.13% at 7,509.34, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.18% at 26,608.93.
