Chilean authorities can force strikers out of plant at Mantoverde mine, court rules
SANTIAGO, Jan 30 (Reuters) - A Chilean court ruled on Friday that authorities could use force to remove striking workers from a desalination plant at Capstone Copper's CS.TO Mantoverde gold and copper mine, hours after workers rejected a new contract offer from the company. The union representing workers at the mine alleges that those occupying the plant are a minority group of employees, and not backed by the union.
