GDANSK, March 19 (Reuters) - Poland's biggest game developer CD Projekt CDR.WA on Thursday reported a 34% raise in full-year net profit compared with the previous year thanks to strong sales of games from its portfolio.
The result includes earnings from discontinued activities, namely GOG digital game distribution platform's operating profit as well as income from its sale.
Net profit for the period was 594.7 million zlotys ($160.4 million) beating analysts' expectations of 520 million zlotys seen in Reuters poll
Net profit excluding GOG reached 520.9 million zlotys
Revenue for the period rose 8.6% to 867.0 million zlotys
"We decided to sell GOG to focus all of our attention and resources on video game development," CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said in the statement
Company's growth plans call for parallel work on multiple projects, as well as expansion of brands to cover new areas of digital entertainment
CD Projekt Red Studio began work on a video game based on its new proprietary IP codenamed Hadar
In 2025 the company invested over 513 million zlotys in future releases, focusing mainly on the development of The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2
