Poland's CD Projekt first quarter net profit falls 4.5% GDANSK, May 28 (Reuters) - Poland's biggest game developer CD Projekt CDR.WA on Thursday reported a 4.5% fall in first-quarter net profit compared with the previous year due to higher costs.
Net profit was 106.2 million zlotys ($29.3 million) beating analysts' expectations of 97 million zlotys seen in Reuters poll
Revenue for the period rose 6.1% to 191.1 million zlotys
Plans to release third expansion to blockbuster The Witcher 3 in 2027
"This third full-fledged expansion (...) is currently at an advanced stage of development," joint CEO Michał Nowakowski said in the statement
The Witcher 3 has reached the 65 million cumulative sales threshold
"We had a solid revenue stream in the first three months of the year – primarily due to strong sales of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3," CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said
He added that the company is "well prepared to further intensify parallel development work on several projects"
