CONSTRUCTION MARKET
The largest state investors will not allow Asian companies to take on major construction contracts, with companies from Turkey being an exception. This follows the introduction of new regulations announced by the Polish government, the Gazeta Prawna daily reported.
DEBT
On Thursday at 1000 the state-owned Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego will hold a bond tender.
CD PROJEKT
Poland's biggest game developer CD Projekt CDR.WA said on Wednesday that the next big game set in the Cyberpunk universe, "Cyberpunk 2", has entered the preproduction phase.
CD Projekt posted a 14.1% year-on-year drop in first-quarter net profit on Wednesday due to paying more tax than in the year earlier period. The net profit of 86.0 million zlotys ($22.9 million) missed analysts' expectations of 95 million zlotys, as compiled in a Reuters poll.
GRUPA AZOTY
Grupa Azoty ATTP.WA, Poland's largest chemical company, posted a first-quarter net loss similar to last year's, as high natural gas prices and competition from Russian and Belarusian fertilizer imports continued to impact profitability.
The company's net loss narrowed slightly to 288.2 million zlotys ($76.51 million) in the first quarter, compared with a loss of 295 million zlotys in the same period of 2024.
