POLISH-FRENCH TREATY
The Treaty of Cooperation and Friendship between Poland and France will be signed on Friday. It will cover key areas such as security and defense, economy, energy transformation, and scientific and cultural exchange, the government press office said on Thursday.
INTEREST RATES
The fact that Poland's Monetary Policy Council (MPC) cut interest rates in May does not mean the beginning of a cycle of monetary policy easing, central bank Governor Adam Glapinski said on Thursday.
PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
The candidate of Poland's ruling Civic Coalition (KO), Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, is in the lead ahead of a May 18 presidential election with support of 32.26%, according to a Pollster poll for Super Express daily published on Thursday.
Karol Nawrocki, the candidate supported by Poland's main opposition party Law and Justice (PiS), has 22.7% support. He is followed by the far-right Confederation party candidate Slawomir Mentzen with 13.58%.
CD PROJEKT
Piotr Nielubowicz, Member of the Management Board of CD Projekt CDR.WA, a Polish computer game producer, said that currently the closest to the premiere is Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for the new Nintendo Switch console, which will debut on June 5, Parkiet daily reported.
