** Base metals producer posts HY pretax profit of $59.3 mln vs $19.6 mln a year ago
** Also reports first-half core profit of $75.5 mln, up 89% from a year earlier
** Says production on track to meet guidance for FY2026
** CAML down about 10.9% YTD, as of last close
