Australia's Central Petroleum gains on Surat Basin project update

** Shares of oil and gas explorer Central Petroleum  CTP.AX 
rise as much as 4.4% to A$0.12
    ** Co says from Range-9 and Range-10, two single-well pilots
in Surat Basin in Australia, aggregate daily gas rate has
reached around 9,000 SCFD and is expected to continue climbing

    ** Expects these wells to be operated for significantly
longer than the first pilot
    ** Co intends to restart Range-6 during May to provide
single-well pilot performance data over time
