Australia's Central Petroleum rises on Queensland gas project update

** Shares of Central Petroleum Ltd  CTP.AX  rise as much as
4.4% to A$0.12, their biggest intraday pct gain since March 16
    ** The Queensland-based oil explorer says that two Single
Well Pilots at Range-9 and Range-10 at Range gas project,

    ** Adds that currently pumps have been started at low speeds
for a controlled drawdown with speeds to increase over coming
months
    ** Stock up 9.5% this year, as of last close
