** Shares of Chariot Corporation CC9.AX rise 34.5% to A$0.074, their highest level since June 10

** The mineral explorer says it will acquire a 66.7% stake in a portfolio of Nigerian hard-rock lithium projects from private co Continental Lithium

** Deal for $1.5 million in cash and 42 million shares of CC9

** Co to form joint entity with Continental Lithium, which includes the purchased stake

** Stock on track for best day since February 2024, if gains hold

** About 424,761 shares change hands, 4.3x the 30-day average of 99,233

** Stock down 45.2% YTD, including moves in current session
