Chiba Bank, Chiba Kogyo Bank to sign business integration agreement this month, Nikkei reports

TOKYO, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Japan's Chiba Bank 8331.T and Chiba Kogyo Bank 8337.T are set to sign a basic agreement on their business integration as early as by the end of this month, the Nikkei business daily reported on Thursday. The two regional banks are aiming to reach the final agreement in the first half of next year and are considering setting up a joint holding company beyond April 2027, Nikkei said. The banks had said in July that they were discussing ways to strengthen their relationship, including management consolidation.
