Chico's FAS gains on higher Q2 profit

** Shares of apparel and accessories retailer Chico's FAS
 CHS.N  up 6.25% at $5.44
    ** Company's Q2 net income rises to $59.3 mln, or $0.49 per
share, from $41.9 mln, or $0.34 per share a year earlier
    ** Sees FY diluted EPS to be between $0.87 and $0.95, vs its
prior forecast of $0.70 to $0.82 
     ** YTD, stock up 4.07%
