City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading specialist asset management group offering a range of institutional products investing in closed-end funds,  announces that on 26 November 2019 the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 95,642 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of £4.25 per share.  Following this purchase the Trust holds 1,493,810 ordinary shares in the Company representing 5.6% of the Company's issued capital, of which 690,094 (2.6% of the Company's issued capital) is held in custody for employees under the terms of the Employee Incentive Plan (EIP).
