Oct 6 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Tuesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.6%.
* INFORMA: Britain's Informa INF.L will acquire B2B events firm Clarion for £2.24 billion ($2.96 billion) and separate its academic publishing arm, Taylor & Francis, from the group, the company said on Tuesday.
* CLARKSON: Clarkson CKN.L, the world’s largest shipping services provider, on Tuesday forecast annual underlying pretax profit above market view, boosted by elevated freight rates amid geopolitical complexity.
* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca said it would spend more than $1 billion in Massachusetts as part of its broader $50 billion US investment plan.
* HEALTH: AI-based medical devices will need constant monitoring even after they're approved for use, rather than a single pre-approval safety check, the head of the UK's medicines regulator said.
* OIL: Oil prices made slight gains as security concerns in the Middle East kept a geopolitical risk premium in the market.
* GOLD: Gold eased, pressured by a firmer US dollar and rising Treasury yields, though losses were limited by easing expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike this month.
* COPPER: Copper prices were marginally up, as a boost from a tech-driven US stock market rally and receding market bets on a Federal Reserve rate hike this month were largely offset by a stronger dollar.
