Clontarf Energy plc
("Clontarf" or "the Company")
Company Update
Clontarf Energy plc (AIM: CLON), the energy company focused on lithium brines
and petroleum projects, is pleased to provide the following update.
The recent Bolivian election has signalled a shift towards more pro-business
policies, during the coming months the new government plans to reform a number
of key legislations involving much needed foreign investment in strategic
areas covered by the Hydrocarbons and Energy Ministry including oil
exploration, renewable energy and lithium.
The new President of YLB, Sergio Soliz Gomez, was recently appointed in
mid-March 2026.
The Company is currently engaging with the new President and his team, and its
local representatives expect to meet with officials in the coming weeks.
The Company's immediate objective is to enter into a Memorandum of
Understanding with Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) which would enable it
to obtain large bulk samples from the Coipasa and Uyuni brine deposits for
shipping and then processing at the Next-ChemX pilot plant in India.
A detailed Chairman's Statement will be included in the Annual Report, which
is expected to be issued before the end of June 2026.
Over the past few months, the Board has reviewed a number of potential
projects which were deemed unsuitable for the Company. The Board will continue
to evaluate new opportunities in line with its strategic objectives.
