Board appointment

















The Board of Directors of Close Brothers Group plc ("Close Brothers" or the "Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Duffy as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 January 2019. On joining the Board, Peter will become a member of the Board's Risk Committee. At the same time, and consistent with the Group's other independent non-executive directors, Peter will also become a director of the Group's Banking subsidiary, Close Brothers Limited.
Peter is currently Chief Customer Officer of Just Eat plc. Between 2011 and 2018, Peter held a number of senior roles at easyJet PLC, including as Chief Commercial Officer and Group Commercial Director. Prior to that, Peter held roles at Audi UK Ltd and Barclays Bank PLC over a period of more than 15 years.

No other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in relation to Peter's appointment as a director.
