Notification of transactions by 
 
persons discharging managerial responsibilities in Ordinary shares of the
Company of 25p each (Shares) 
 
The following amendment has been made to the 'Director/PDMR Shareholding'
announcement released on 26 October 2017 at 17:00 under RNS No 7638U. 
 
The nature of the transaction was shown as grant of three year options over
shares under the Company's 2017 Autumn Sharesave scheme.  This should have
read grant of three (1- 4) and five (5) year options over shares under the
Company's 2017 Autumn Sharesave scheme. 
 
All other details remain unchanged.  The full amended text is shown below. 
 
On 26 October 2017 the Company granted options to employees under the Close
Brothers Group Sharesave Scheme (the "Scheme"). This grant of options over
Shares under the Scheme included certain Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility. The following notifications, made pursuant to Article 19(3) of
the Market Abuse Regulation, provide further details.
