TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES - CORRECTION
 
Close Brothers Group plc (the "Company") announces a correction to each of the Transaction in Own Shares announcements released by the Company between 18 June 2018 and 30 July 2018 (inclusive). These announcements did not reflect the transfer of 1,715 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in the Company's employee share plans on 14 June 2018. Immediately following the transfer of these shares on 14 June 2018, the Company held 624,290 of its ordinary shares in treasury and had 151,436,000 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
 
Consequently, the number of treasury shares and the number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) that should have been announced by the Company in the Transaction in Own Shares announcements released between 18 June 2018 and 30 July 2018 was as follows:
