** Shares of U.S. natural gas companies up, tracking a rise in natgas futures NGA/

** U.S. natural gas futures NGc1 up 3.3% at $3.166 per million British thermal units (mmBtu), putting the contract on track for its highest close since March 12

** Natgas prices rise on soaring global energy prices after Iranian missiles hit a liquefied natural gas facility in Qatar and other energy infrastructure across the Middle East as part of the ongoing war in the region

** Cheniere Energy LNG.N up 11%, EQT Corp EQT.N climbs 4.5%, Expand Energy EXE.O rises 4.8% and CNX Resources Corp CNX.N up 2.4%

** Natgas ETFs: United States Natural Gas Fund UNG.P up 2.3% and ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas BOIL.P rises 4.4%
