Coherent rises on Q2 sales, profit beat

** Shares of laser and optical devices maker Coherent
 COHR.N  up 9.9% at $99.00 in extended trade
    ** COHR Q2 revenue of $1.43 billion beats estimates of $1.37
billion, helped by strong demand for its AI-related data
centers, and growth in its telecom business
    ** Q2 adjusted EPS of 95 cents tops estimates of 69 cents
    ** Company forecasts Q3 revenue between $1.39 billion and
$1.48 billion, the midpoint of which is above estimates of $1.40
billion, according to data compiled by LSEG 
    ** In 2024, stock rose 117.6%
