Cairo - February 23(rd), 2026

CIB would like to announce that it received clearance from the Central Bank of
Egypt (CBE) to start the due diligence process on HSBC's retail banking
portfolio. It is worthy to highlight that there can be no assurance that this
will result in any specific transaction, and it is possible that no
transaction will occur. Accordingly, CIB will inform the market of any new
material event that result from this process.
