Computacenter sees annual profit ahead of view on strong AI demand, shares jump

- Computacenter CCC.L said on Thursday it expects annual results to exceed market expectations after first-half profit almost doubled year-on-year, driven by strong demand from hyperscale customers for AI-related infrastructure in North America and the UK, sending its shares up over 7%.

Here are some details:

  • British technology services provider forecast full-year results to come in "comfortably ahead" of market views.

  • The company-compiled analyst consensus for fiscal 2026 adjusted pre-tax profit is £313.7 million ($421.08 million), up from £291.3 million forecast in April, when Computacenter first said results would be comfortably ahead of expectations.

  • Shares climbed 7.6% to the top of the FTSE 100 index .FTSE at 4,450 pence in early trade.

  • Computacenter expects first-half adjusted pre-tax profit to roughly double from £81.5 million a year earlier, which it had described as a relatively soft comparative.

  • The committed product order backlog at June 30 was well ahead of the £7.1 billion reported at the end of 2025, reflecting strong order intake during the first-half.

  • Jefferies analysts said Computacenter was one of their preferred stocks in the sector as it continues to "out-execute" peers.

  • In 2025, the company reported adjusted pre-tax profit of £272 million. It is scheduled to publish its half-year results for the six months to June 30 on September 8.
