U.S. stock index futures were flat on Thursday ahead of a series of economic
data as investors scoured for clues to determine the size of the Federal
Reserve's interest rate cut that is expected later this month.  .N 
    
    At 7:36 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 0.06% at 41,076. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were up 0.10% at 5,535.75, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were down
0.03% at 18,956.75.
