Wall Street's main indexes slipped on Tuesday as investors turned cautious ahead
of a crucial inflation reading and a policy announcement from the Federal
Reserve expected this week, although a recovery in Apple's shares helped curtail
losses.  .N

38,702.02. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.04% at 5,363.07 and the Nasdaq Composite
