** Shares of oil and gas company Coterra Energy CTRA.N down 2.3% at $23.82 in extended trading

** Coterra's third-quarter profit misses estimates as lower oil prices offset a jump in production

** Posts Q3 adj profit 41 cents per share vs estimate of 44 cents per share, according to data compiled by LSEG

** However, raises its full-year production forecast to between 772,000 to 782,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day on the back of strong natural gas demand

** As of last close, CTRA down 4.5% YTD
