POLITICS

(*) An Italian military base in Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, was struck by a missile overnight though no injuries were reported, the Italian defence ministry said on Thursday.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Wednesday that G7 leaders had agreed to remain in close contact "in the coming weeks" to help resolve the Gulf crisis, stabilise markets and safeguard energy supplies.

ECONOMY

ISTAT publishes labour market data for Q4 (0900 GMT).

Italy's top insurer on Thursday posted a record profit for 2025, driven by all business segments, and said it was preparing a new 500-million-euro ($577.1 million) share buyback, highlighting CEO Philippe Donnet's focus on shareholder returns.

The defence and aerospace group said on Thursday it was "positioned on a path of strong growth", with orders, revenues and core profits set to rise further this year.

It also presented a 2026-2030 industrial plan that aims to turn the state-controlled group into a high-tech player, stepping up investment in high-performance computing, AI and cyber security.

The renewable energy company on Thursday forecast a 2026 core profit of 520-590 million euros after a 540-million-euro EBITDA in 2025, at the lower end of its guidance range. The group added it plans to present a new five-year strategy at the end of 2026 or early 2027.

Kepler Cheuvreux cut its rating on the payment company to 'HOLD' from 'BUY', and the target price to 3.1 euros from 5 euros.

TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI

The group reported on Wednesday a 297 million euros ($343.69 million) net profit for 2025, the first positive result since 2020.

FERRAGAMO SFER.MI

The luxury goods shop reported on Wednesday an adjusted operating profit of 24.3 million euros for 2025, down 30% year-on-year.

GEOX GEO.MI

The shoe maker reported on Wednesday net losses of 16.2 million euros for 2025.
