** Shares of CRISIL Ltd CRSL.NS rise as much as 3.4% to 4,874 rupees

** Set to snap 4 months of losses; gained 6.3% so far in Oct
** Ratings and analytics co reported 12.6% y/y rise in Q3 consol net profit to 1.93 bln rupees ($21.98 mln); rev up 12.2%
** Bigger segment research, analytics and solutions grew 12.7%, while rating services segment grew 11.2%
** More than 49,000 shares traded, as of 11:56 p.m. IST, vs 30-day moving avg of 39,924 shares
** CRSL last up 2.9%, cuts YTD losses to 29.1%
