Wall Street's main stock indexes fell more than 1% on Tuesday as gloomy
forecasts from retailers Home Depot and Walmart added to worries that a sharp
rise in interest rates and high inflation were taking a toll on the U.S.
economy.  .N 
    At 13:31 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 1.78% at
33,223.89. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 1.79% at 4,006.17 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 2.14% at 11,534.456.
