S.Korea's Daeduck Electronics, Daeduck GDS jump after merger announcement

** Shares of Daeduck Electronics 008060.KS and Daeduck GDS
004130.KS jump on Thursday after they announced a merger
** Daeduck Electronics, which will merge with Daeduck GDS in
Dec this year, soars as much as 10 pct, while Daeduck GDS gains
about 5 pct
** Daishin Securities analyst Park Kang-ho says the merger
will help the Daeduck Electronics improve the semiconductor
sector, with sales of about 1 trillion won ($894 million). The
company is a supplier to Samsung Electronics 005930.KS and SK
Hynix 000660.KS
** The broader KOSPI market .KS11 was trading down 0.1 pct
as of 0110 GMT
